Kristen Hellmer is a public affairs, media relations, and federal issues expert with more than 11 years of experience communicating complex issues at the highest levels.

Prior to joining ACA, Ms. Hellmer worked at Exxon Mobil Corporation in corporate public affairs as a media and communications advisor. There, she ensured the company's positions on complex issues such as industry taxation and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations were communicated to policy makers and opinion leaders. Ms. Hellmer also represented the company to the media, serving as a spokeswoman.

Prior to joining ExxonMobil, she served in President George W. Bush's Administration as director of communications at the White House Council on Environmental Quality. There, she was responsible for developing and executing strategic communications plans for all energy and environmental policy for the President. She worked hand-in-hand with the White House Press Office, speaking on behalf of the President to international, national, and local media, and managed the communications efforts of various agencies, including the Department of Energy, EPA and Department of Interior.

Ms. Hellmer's experience crosses over to the Legislative Branch, where she served as Congressman Jim Kolbe's legislative assistant and press secretary.

She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University Barrett Honor's College, with concurrent degrees in broadcast journalism and political science.
